Snowshoes, that other way to explore the mountains …
Fast and energetic or slow and thoughtful – set your own pace. You can go through the woods, follow animal tracks, make your way to an Alpine meadow chalet or just enjoy the silence and the awesome scale of the ‘great outdoors’.

Night-time excursions accompanied by mountain guides, 2 hours walk ending with a snack at the Centre.

- go as you please: there are lots of different options for snowshoeing trips for both novice and experienced snowshoers.
With the added bonus of superb views and a chance to get away from it all. A winter Topo-Guide is available at the Bellevaux Tourist Information Office, costing 2€. Here are a few sample routes:
Packed Nordic routes (free access) :
- Link between Le Col du Feu (Lullin) and the Cross-country Ski centre at Les Moises (Habère-Poche), an easy trek through forest and Alpine meadow;
- La Chèvrerie Nordic Ski area (Les Favières, Bellecombe, Tour of Vallon lake, link to Les Mouilles) – easy and intermediate treks in wild, unspoilt setting. See the trail map for the Bellevaux Nordic ski area
- Les Mouilles – leaving from the Cross-country ski centre – Les Granges de Lullin – 8 km round trip with superb views of the hamlets of Bellevaux and the Tour de la Côte - 3 km, family trek on which even the little ones can enjoy the scenery from their toboggan. Non-packed routes:
- Très le Saix: from the lower part of Vallon lake, go up to the Alpine meadows (2 hours), fine views of Vallon lake. Another 30 minutes’ walk and your efforts are rewarded with a view of the whole Bellevaux valley, the Roc d'Enfer and the Massif d'Hirmentaz from the Rocher de la Motte.
-The Mont Forchat from the Col du Feu (parking) by way of Très-le-Mont: 360° views at the summit (statue of Saint-François de Sales) from Lake Geneva to the Mont-Blanc.
- The Hermone crests: leave from the Col du Feu (easy) or the Chef-lieu in Reyvroz.
This is the “Balcon du Léman” long distance footpath (GR)! A wonderful trek with a number of variant routes. On the crest stands the chapel of Notre-Dame d’Hermone with unforgettable views over the lake. (access via the Col du Feu at Lullin).
