PROGRAM :
Day 1: arrive at accommodation, tour the site and the farm
Unaccompanied hike to the Hermone Crests affording panoramic views of Lake Geneva
Day 2: hike to observe plant and wildlife of the Alpine meadows, with a mountain guide and donkey.
On your return, tour of tourist sites on banks of Lake Geneva (Yvoire, Thonon-les-Bains, etc.)
Evening with typical Alpine meadow meal and discussion led by Catherine Martinerie (official adviser for Orcier heritage, co-author of the ‘Démontagnée’ show), showing of the ‘Démontagnée’ on DVD.
Day 3: day long hike to Très le Mont with the “Ombres sur l'alpage" booklet. Let Fanfoué du Terrebout guide you as you find out about the people who shaped this Alpine meadow.
Lunch at the Auberge du Petit Savoyard.
Day 4: Hike with donkey on signposted track (about 1 hr 30 min.)
Accommodation and meal :
Accommodation in Gîtes de France 3 ‘épis’ standard guesthouse in Orcier, half-board terms (sharing double room).
PRICE 4 days / 3 nights at 260 € per person and 130 € per child (3 to 15 years old).
